FIXTURE
PROCUREMENT
When it’s time to turn a lighting design into reality, we’re here to guide the process.
Our fixture procurement service is an optional, add-on service designed to take the stress out of selecting, ordering, and tracking lighting fixtures. Think of procurement as extra support when you want a knowledgeable partner keeping an eye on the details.
When selected, we help translate lighting design intent into real-world results by coordinating specifications, pricing, ordering, and delivery—making sure the fixtures that arrive on site match the design, budget, and schedule.
You’re always free to purchase fixtures through your preferred contractors or vendors, or engage us separately for added coordination, oversight, and peace of mind. Either way, we’re here to advocate for the design and keep things moving smoothly.
UNDERSTANDING FIXTURE TYPES
Every lighting design we produce includes a detailed fixture legend that breaks lighting into clear categories. Understanding these distinctions helps clients decide what level of procurement support makes the most sense for their project.
DECORATIVE FIXTURES
Decorative fixtures are the jewelry of lighting—pendants, chandeliers, and sculptural pieces that add personality and visual impact. These fixtures are not required to provide illumination for the space. Some clients prefer to select these pieces in lighting showrooms, where clients can see, touch, and experience them in person.
FUNCTIONAL FIXTURES
Functional fixtures are required to meet specific lighting performance goals. For example, bathroom wall sconces may need to deliver a minimum of 1,000 lumens per fixture to properly light the space. These fixtures play a critical role in how a space functions and are often a focus of procurement support to ensure performance requirements are met.
ARCHITECTURAL FIXTURES
Architectural lighting includes built-in or integrated elements such as recessed lights, step lights, and ribbon lighting. While many of these fixtures are functional, some are used primarily to enhance mood or highlight architectural features. Even when used atmospherically, careful specification is essential to ensure consistency, integration, and long-term performance.
PROCUREMENT SERVICES
Our fixture procurement services are flexible and designed to meet clients where they are.

FULL PROCUREMENT
Looking for a fully supported, collaborative experience? We supply and coordinate the entire lighting package for your project—architectural, functional, and decorative fixtures included. From early selection and pricing through ordering, delivery, and installation support, we manage the details while keeping you informed and involved at every step.
This approach creates a clear point of coordination and allows us to maintain continuity across all fixture types. By staying closely involved throughout the process, we help ensure the lighting performs as intended, integrates seamlessly with the architecture and interiors, and arrives on site ready for installation—so the final result feels cohesive, intentional, and well-executed.

partial PROCUREMENT
Looking for something more tailored? We can supply and manage any portion of the lighting package—architectural, functional, decorative, or a combination—based on where our involvement adds the most value.
Some clients ask us to handle the architectural and functional lighting that defines how a space performs, while they select decorative “jewelry” fixtures in showrooms. Others prefer support with decorative fixtures while contractors or electricians manage certain built-in elements. We’re happy to step in wherever supplying fixtures creates the most clarity, consistency, and confidence.
For fixtures sourced elsewhere, we can provide design guidance as an additional part of our lighting consulting services to ensure everything works together seamlessly.
PROCUREMENT PROCESS
Our procurement services are designed to simplify the process of turning a lighting design into reality. We focus on four main areas that cover the full scope of fixture coordination, ensuring both efficiency and design.
Here’s how we help:
WHY PROCUREMENT SUPPORT?
Because thoughtful lighting deserves thoughtful follow-through.
Fixture procurement is where design decisions become real. Adding procurement support allows the lighting consultant to stay involved beyond the drawings, helping guide selections, clarify technical details, and support the project team through ordering and installation.
Here’s how we help:
Procurement support helps everything go right—protecting the design, supporting the team, and ensuring the final lighting experience reflects the original intent.

AN INSIDER’S PERSPECTIVE FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE INDUSTRY
Our founder brings a unique perspective to fixture procurement through hands-on research, development, and design work with a separate lighting company, creating high-performance architectural fixtures with carefully considered design features and photometrics. Being directly involved in how fixtures are engineered and specified provides valuable insight into real-world performance, trade-offs, and build quality.
This experience strengthens our consulting and procurement approach—allowing us to ask the right questions, evaluate products critically, and advocate for thoughtful, well-designed solutions. All fixture recommendations remain fully manufacturer-agnostic and guided by the specific needs of each project.
