DECORATIVE FIXTURES

Decorative fixtures are the jewelry of lighting—pendants, chandeliers, and sculptural pieces that add personality and visual impact. These fixtures are not required to provide illumination for the space. Some clients prefer to select these pieces in lighting showrooms, where clients can see, touch, and experience them in person.

FUNCTIONAL FIXTURES

Functional fixtures are required to meet specific lighting performance goals. For example, bathroom wall sconces may need to deliver a minimum of 1,000 lumens per fixture to properly light the space.
